Sealing: Your Best Defense
Sealing is the most important maintenance step for quartzite countertops.
**How often:** Every 12-18 months for kitchen countertops. Quartzite is denser than many natural stones, so it requires less frequent sealing.
**How to test if you need to reseal:** Place a few drops of water on the surface. If the water beads up, your seal is good. If it soaks in within 10 minutes, it's time to reseal.
